Track announces 50-50 payment plan for returning fall fans
(PHOENIX, Ariz.) - A number of great seats and hospitality options still remain for Phoenix International Raceway's April 10-12 event weekend, highlighted by the Saturday, April 12 running of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500™. Tickets are available in nearly all grandstand areas as Jeff Gordon will look to repeat his thrilling April victory in the Valley of the Sun. Fans also have a wide array of options to supplement their seat in the grandstands, as Raceway Club and Trackside Club hospitality reservations are still available. NASCAR fans returning to Phoenix International Raceway for the November event weekend and the 21st running of the Checker Auto Parts 500 Presented by Pennzoil have until Friday, March 7 to renew their tickets and RV reservations. In 2008, however, each loyal fan's pocketbook can breathe more easily. To help fans ease the cost of paying the entire renewal price up front, PIR has announced a 50-50 payment plan which will allow returning fans to pay just half of the renewal costs before the March 7 deadline, while the other half will be charged on Tuesday, June 3. This gives fans eight weeks from now to submit the first half of their payment for the November race events, and another 12 weeks before their payment is finished.     QUICKEN LOANS RACE FOR HEROES 500 A WINNER ON AND OFF TRACK

    Kevin Harvick drove his No. 4 Budweiser Chevrolet car to Gatorade Victory Lane in Sunday’s Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500, but the race itself was a winner for Phoenix International Raceway. The track sold out of grandstand seats a week before the race and sold out of reserved camping spots more than two months early.

    HARVICK TAKES CHECKERS AT QUICKEN LOANS RACE FOR HEROES 500

    Kevin Harvick dominated Sunday’s Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500, leading 264 of the 312 laps in his No. 4 Budweiser Chevrolet on the way to Gatorade Victory Lane to conclude Phoenix International Raceway’s 50th anniversary season. The win clinched a place for Harvick in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship Round next Sunday in Miami.

    KESELOWSKI STEALS DAV 200 WIN: ELLIOTT YOUNGEST NATIONWIDE CHAMP

    Brad Keselowski, a second-place runner nearly all afternoon at Phoenix International Raceway, flew by Kyle Busch on the beginning of the last lap of an unexpected green-white-checkers finish to steal victory in the DAV 200 Honoring America's Veterans, NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Saturday.
