Ticket discounts, commemorative pins to be available
To celebrate the fifth annual NASCAR Day in support of The NASCAR Foundation, and to observe the 60th Anniversary of NASCAR, Phoenix International Raceway will open its ticket office doors to fans on Friday, May 16 for a special promotion to mark the milestone events.
Beginning at 8 a.m. at the PIR Ticket Office, the first 60 NASCAR fans who make an order - in person – for tickets to the Lower Bobby Allison Grandstands to the Sunday, November 9 Checker Auto Parts 500 Presented by Pennzoil NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race will receive a special discount. Normally priced at $82, the special NASCAR Day tickets will be on sale for just $60 – a markdown of over 25%.
Each of the first 60 on-site purchasers will also receive one special NASCAR Day pin for free.
Every non-promotional grandstand ticket order made on site for the Checker Auto Parts 500 throughout NASCAR Day at PIR will also earn ticket buyers one complimentary NASCAR Day pin each. PIR will donate $5 to The NASCAR Foundation for each pin given away throughout the entire day.
Those who are not buying tickets but wish to obtain a commemorative NASCAR Day pin or simply make a donation to The NASCAR Foundation may do so by visiting www.nascar.com/nascarday
on the Web.
The PIR Ticket Office is located at 125 S. Avondale Blvd. in Avondale, just south of I-10 at Exit 131.
The NASCAR Foundation embodies the compassion of the NASCAR Family and is committed to serving communities. The Foundation supports a wide range of charitable initiatives that reflect the core values of the entire NASCAR Family, and uses the strength of the sport and its people to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
