Jimmie Johnson can make PIR history this fall, and you can be there to see it in person! Just buy a ticket to the Checker Auto Parts 500 Presented by Pennzoil on Sunday, November 9 at PIR, and you'll watch the two-time defending Sprint Cup Series champion as he looks to become the first driver in history with three PIR wins in NASCAR's top level. That's not all you'll see, however. NASCAR's 42 other stars will all be looking to knock Johnson from his throne, as the Chase for the Sprint Cup and the 2008 Sprint Cup Series title will be on the line. The four-day blast at PIR also includes events in the USAC Midget and Silver Crown Series on Thursday, November 6, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on Friday, November 7, and the NASCAR Nationwide Series on Saturday, November 8. Tickets are available in all grandstand areas. As always, a number of additional entertainment and hospitality options are still available for the enjoyment of PIR's loyal fans.     ALLGAIER WINS $100,000 WITH VICTORY IN DC SOLAR 200

    Justin Allgaier, driver of the No. 7 BRANDT Chevrolet, may have run the race of his NASCAR XFINITY Series career in Saturday's DC Solar 200. Not only did he take home the victory at Phoenix Raceway in dominant fashion by leading 85 of the 200 laps, but he also won $100,000 in the first NASCAR XFINITY Series Dash 4 Cash race of the 2017 season.

    JOEY LOGANO CLAIMS POLE POSITION FOR CAMPING WORLD 500

    Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford, continued his hot streak in the desert at Phoenix Raceway on Friday’s Gatorade Pole Day. The 26-year-old followed up his win in last November's Can-Am 500 by turning in the fastest lap in qualifying to capture pole position for Sunday's Camping World 500.
