Celebrate Veterans Day at PIR with Kevin Harvick Inc. and VFW
Founded in 1899, the Veterans of Foreign Wars' voice has been instrumental in improving the quality of life for active service members, veterans and their families through advocacy and service. In a time when the need has never been greater, VFW has stepped in to help deployed service members and their families with critical programs and services. VFW has: • Given more than $2.2 million in grants to active duty military families that ease the financial burden of a deployed family member; grants that help pay bills, cover the cost of daycare and education and unforeseen expenses military families endure. • Helped keep numerous homes of deployed service members out of foreclosure. • Established more than 70 VFW Military Family Support Centers in 44 states. • Distributed over 10 million phone cards to troops serving far from home and veterans in hospitals or retirement facilities. • Sponsored over 18,000,000 minutes of talk time through VFW Free Call Days for troops serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait. • Coordinated more than 800 military unit adoptions by nearly 600 VFW Posts and Auxiliaries. • Donated more than $545,000 to host hundreds of military events across the nation. The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, with its Auxiliaries, includes 2.2 million members in approximately 8100 Posts worldwide. Annually, VFW members and its Auxiliary contribute more than 13 million hours of volunteerism in the community. More information can be found at www.vfw.org. About Kevin Harvick Inc.
