Promotional package offered to ASU students
Arizona State University's SPARK Magazine and Phoenix International Raceway will team up Friday, November 7 to present the first "ASU Night" at the track. In a partnership with Best Buy and ASU Residential Life, SPARK and PIR have created the “SPARK Zone,” an exclusive area where ASU students will enjoy music, games, food, entertainment, giveaways, and more. The event will center on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Lucas Oil 150, the second-to-last race of the 2008 Craftsman Truck Series season. Two past PIR race winners are engaged in a close battle for the championship, with Johnny Benson holding a mere 65-point advantage over Ron Hornaday, the defending series champion. The “SPARK Zone” promotional package includes designated grandstand seating for ASU students - which includes a ticket to NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying earlier in the day - and a $20 food and beverage voucher. The first 300 ASU students to purchase the $35 tickets to the exclusive “SPARK Zone” event will receive bus transportation to and from PIR, an event T-shirt, a “goodie bag,” and will be entered to win an all-access pass to the weekend’s full slate of NASCAR events at PIR. Ticket information for “ASU Night at PIR” is conveniently located on the Web at www.phoenixraceway.com/sparkzone. Tickets for the remainder of the high-speed action throughout the November NASCAR event weekend can be purchased online at www.phoenixraceway.com, or over the phone at 1-866-408-RACE (7223).
