Race's Grand Marshal position up for auction on eBay
Phoenix International Raceway’s luxury lounge, Octane, will host a unique charity event on Thursday, April 16 to help children and families in Arizona and beyond. Taking place in conjunction with the Jimmie Johnson Foundation 150 Presented by Shamrock Farms at PIR, the "Night of Champions" will be hosted by three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson and his wife, Chandra Johnson, co-founder of the Jimmie Johnson Foundation. Guests will have the chance to mingle with one of today’s most popular sports personalities as well as participate in an exclusive charity auction during the event. The Jimmie Johnson Foundation is dedicated to helping children and families in need and works with organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Victory Junction, and the Hendrick Marrow Program, and Arizona’s own West Valley Child Crisis Center. Those looking to support the Jimmie Johnson Foundation before the “Night of Champions” have an exclusive opportunity to act as the Grand Marshal of the Jimmie Johnson Foundation 150 Presented by Shamrock Farms. In addition to delivering the command of “Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!” during pre-race ceremonies and riding in the pace car with Jimmie Johnson, the Grand Marshal will receive two tickets to the “Night of Champions” and pre-race pit access. The Grand Marshal auction can be found at www.ebay.com/jimmiejohnsonfoundation. Complete details are available by clicking “Items for Sale.” The auction closes at 8:00 p.m. MST (11:00 p.m. EDT) on Wednesday, March 11. Tickets for the “Night of Champions” are currently available for $348 per person, and include fine food and drink, an amazing view of the NASCAR Camping World Series West racing action at PIR, and a chance to meet one of NASCAR’s top stars, all while contributing to the health and wellness of children and families in need. Presenting sponsorships for the event are also available, with packages starting at $10,000. Sponsorship packages include inclusion on all event materials, a private meet-and-greet with Jimmie Johnson prior to the “Night of Champions,” and an array of exclusive experiences throughout the NASCAR event weekend at PIR.
