Race's Grand Marshal position up for auction on eBay
Phoenix International Raceway’s luxury lounge, Octane, will host a unique charity event on Thursday, April 16 to help children and families in Arizona and beyond. Taking place in conjunction with the Jimmie Johnson Foundation 150 Presented by Shamrock Farms at PIR, the "Night of Champions" will be hosted by three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson and his wife, Chandra Johnson, co-founder of the Jimmie Johnson Foundation. Guests will have the chance to mingle with one of today’s most popular sports personalities as well as participate in an exclusive charity auction during the event. The Jimmie Johnson Foundation is dedicated to helping children and families in need and works with organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Victory Junction, and the Hendrick Marrow Program, and Arizona’s own West Valley Child Crisis Center. Those looking to support the Jimmie Johnson Foundation before the “Night of Champions” have an exclusive opportunity to act as the Grand Marshal of the Jimmie Johnson Foundation 150 Presented by Shamrock Farms. In addition to delivering the command of “Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!” during pre-race ceremonies and riding in the pace car with Jimmie Johnson, the Grand Marshal will receive two tickets to the “Night of Champions” and pre-race pit access. Tickets for the “Night of Champions” are currently available for $348 per person, and include fine food and drink, an amazing view of the NASCAR Camping World Series West racing action at PIR, and a chance to meet one of NASCAR’s top stars, all while contributing to the health and wellness of children and families in need. Presenting sponsorships for the event are also available, with packages starting at $10,000. Sponsorship packages include inclusion on all event materials, a private meet-and-greet with Jimmie Johnson prior to the “Night of Champions,” and an array of exclusive experiences throughout the NASCAR event weekend at PIR.     PHOENIX RACEWAY HOSTS SECOND ANNUAL “PRIX VIEW” INDYCAR TESTING SESSION

    Phoenix Raceway invites fans and media to the second annual “Prix View” Testing event for the Verizon IndyCar Series on Saturday, Feb. 11, Phoenix Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber announced today. The event will feature virtually the entire field of drivers and teams as they prepare to race under the lights in the Phoenix Grand Prix on Saturday night, April 29, 2017.

    PHOENIX RACEWAY TO HOST NASCAR OPEN TEST SESSION ON TUESDAY, JAN. 31

    Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series stars will appear at Phoenix Raceway for the first time in 2017 when the track hosts an open test session on Tuesday, Jan. 31. Phoenix Raceway will open its gates to fans from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with general seating in the Bobby Allison Grandstand. Free parking is available and fans are asked to make a $5 donation to Phoenix Raceway Charities for admission.

    WILD FINISH GIVES LOGANO CAN-AM 500, SPOT IN NASCAR CHAMPIONSHIP 4

    Joey Logano needed a good finish to advance to the championship finale of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series next weekend. The semi-final race was extended by 12 laps due to two late collisions that significantly effected both the race and the championship battle. Logano got the best finish possible at Sunday's Can-Am 500, grabbing the lead on a late restart and never looking back.

    KYLE BUSCH BECOMES FIRST DRIVER TO WIN 10 RACES IN ONE DIVISION AT PIR

    Another NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Phoenix International Raceway, another win for Kyle Busch. The driver of the No. 18 NOS Energy Toyota dominated yet again in Saturday's Ticket Galaxy 200 for his 10th win at PIR, a track record for a single series. Busch led 190 of 200 laps, the fourth-consecutive XFINITY race at Phoenix where he has led at least 175 of the 200 laps. But even though he lost the lead on the final restart to Justin Allgaier, Busch wasn't worried about the outcome.
