SPEED Cantina Unveils New Menu
On-air SPEED talent well-represented by wide variety of tastes

NASCAR fans at Phoenix International Raceway can now order items reflective of their favorite on-air personalities from SPEED, with menu offerings created by on-air stalwarts such as Jimmy Spencer, Kenny Wallace and Larry MacReynolds available from SPEED Cantina’s brand new menu. The new food selections will make their debut during the SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500™ weekend, scheduled for April 16-18, and will represent 11 members of the NASCAR on SPEED on-air talent roster. Split into sections celebrating two of NASCAR on SPEED’s top weekly programs, the menu features lists of “Trackside Appetizers” and “Raceday Entrées,” leaving NASCAR fans able to make an appetizing selection based on both their preferred taste and favorite television personality. Fans at SPEED Cantina can prepare their palate with an appetizing array of Jimmy Spencer’s Na-cho Average Salad or John Roberts Jalapeño Poppers, and truly fulfill their hunger with a Hermanator Hot Dog - in honor of Kenny “Herman” Wallace - or an order of Larry Mac Tacos. Those in the mood for chicken wings have two options: bone-in Michael Waltrip Wings, or Wendy Wings, the boneless variety celebrating intrepid SPEED reporter Wendy Venturini. Rutledge Rings and Hermie Chips and Salsa pay homage to the zany SPEED duo of Wood and Sadler, respectively, and fans can also purchase entrées like a Steve Byrnes Burrito, a Krista Voda Chicken Wrap, or a Jeff Hammond Hamburger. With 32-foot illuminated signage and custom furnishings, a specialty bar, and a number of flat-panel television monitors highlighting live SPEED Channel broadcasts and thrilling on-track racing action at PIR, SPEED Cantina is the place to be at Phoenix International Raceway. Joey Logano needed a good finish to advance to the championship finale of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series next weekend. The semi-final race was extended by 12 laps due to two late collisions that significantly effected both the race and the championship battle. The driver of the No. 18 NOS Energy Toyota dominated yet again in Saturday's Ticket Galaxy 200 for his 10th win at PIR, a track record for a single series. Busch led 190 of 200 laps, the fourth-consecutive XFINITY race at Phoenix where he has led at least 175 of the 200 laps. But even though he lost the lead on the final restart to Justin Allgaier, Busch wasn't worried about the outcome.
Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber announced today that DC Solar has been named the title sponsor of the track’s spring NASCAR XFINITY Series races in 2017 and 2018. The DC Solar 200 for the upcoming NASCAR season will take place on Saturday, March 18.
Friday's Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix International Raceway was setting up to be a dominant win for 18-year-old William Byron. But with 10 laps to go, both the race win and the hope of a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship went up in smoke for the driver of the No. 9 Liberty University Toyota Tundra.
Phoenix Raceway has announced the operating schedule for its Park ‘N Ride program – encouraging race fans to take advantage of the convenient shuttle service when traveling to and from the Can-Am 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Nov. 13.
