PIR Appearing at DUB Show Tour
Ice Cube, Custom Auto Displays, NASCAR Exhibit All Part of the Show
It’s not often that NASCAR and a hip hop artist such as Ice Cube can be mentioned in the same breath - let alone share the same bill - but that will happen on Saturday, June 13 as part of the DUB Show Tour at Phoenix Convention Center. Phoenix International Raceway and NASCAR will participate in the DUB Show Tour Custom Auto Show and Concert stop in the Valley of the Sun at the Phoenix Convention Center on Saturday, June 13. As part of an overall effort to reach a younger and more diverse audience, PIR is continuing its ongoing partnership with DUB and will display its official pace car at the DUB Show Tour - an event that includes a headline concert by renowned hip hop artist and award-winning actor/director Ice Cube. NASCAR and the track will also have booth space where race fans can purchase tickets to the November 15 Checker O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 and supporting events. Phoenix International Raceway and NASCAR’s involvement in the DUB Show Tour is an extension of the track and sport’s relationship with DUB. DUB Publishing, DUB Industries and TIS Industries represent the stable of companies which have become leading brands within the automotive lifestyle culture. For PIR, the partnership with DUB kicked off during the track’s April NASCAR event weekend with an extensive display of customized vehicles - most of which were owned by professional athletes and celebrities - and aftermarket accessories. The display was an extremely popular new attraction on PIR’s Midway with fans of all ages. Open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., the tour event will feature a NASCAR display, including facts and information on the sport, as well as two Nintendo Wii stations for visitors to play EA Sports’ NASCAR 09 and kart racing games. Fans in attendance will receive giveaways and can enter a drawing for one of four NASCAR driver jackets. PIR will distribute information and giveaways as well, in addition to offering tickets for purchase to its November race weekend - headlined by the semifinal race in NASCAR’s Chase for the Sprint Cup. The show tour will also include a number of live music and entertainment options, automotive demonstrations, and numerous celebrity appearances. DUB’s celebrity car showcase includes exclusive projects never before seen anywhere, as well as vehicles of nearly every class and owned by stars from the sports and entertainment world, including Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, 50 Cent, and Snoop Dogg. The hottest names in music will take the stage for a slate of live performances, closed out by the aforementioned Ice Cube performance. The DUB Custom Auto Show and Concert Tour is the largest event tour of its kind and connects with over 250,000 opinion-leading young multicultural adults every year. DUB Publishing, which produces the bi-monthly DUB Magazine, reaches over 4.8 million sought-after multicultural trendsetters every year, and chronicles celebrities and their vehicles. DUB Publishing also maintains the company’s successful licensing ventures like toys, video games, wheels, and accessories. Finally, DUB Grassroots Marketing helps corporate brands all over the nation connect with one of the most influential consumer groups through celebrity and media integration services, nationwide grassroots street teams, mobile marketing, promotions, vehicle customization, and more. The DUB family of companies is about individualism, celebrity, unique styling, and spotting trends before they happen. More information can be found at www.dubshowtour.com and at www.dubmagazine.com.
