Thursday, September 3, 2009

With NASCAR stars like Kyle Busch and Mark Martin among the 11 drivers battling for the eight remaining spots to join Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, and others in NASCAR's Chase for the Sprint Cup, the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 from Richmond International Raceway qualifies as a major race to watch – and even NASCAR fans in the Phoenix area have the chance to immerse themselves in all of the intense action.

Avondale sports bar Wendy Jack's Hideaway will host a "Set the Chase" NASCAR viewing party on Saturday, September 12, airing the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 from Richmond as the top 12 drivers in the Sprint Cup Series are determined for the 10-week Chase for the Sprint Cup. Television coverage of the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 begins at 4 p.m., and that’s when the fun will begin at Wendy Jack’s.

Home to NASCAR fans from throughout the West Valley and located just six miles from Phoenix International Raceway, Wendy Jack's Hideaway is a great stop before and after races for NASCAR fans. The friendly neighborhood spot is located at 1235 N. Dysart, just south of I-10 at Exit 129. More information is available on the Web at www.wendyjackshideaway.com.

The Phoenix International Raceway pace car will be on site as the Chase dozen is set, and those attending the viewing party will have the chance to win exclusive NASCAR memorabilia and prizes, including tickets to the Checker O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 Presented by Pennzoil at PIR on Sunday, November 15.
