“3 Amigos Organic Blanco 100” to kick off 2011 NASCAR season at PIR
Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber today announced 3 Amigos Tequila – the Official Tequila of PIR – as title sponsor for the upcoming NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race at PIR on Feb. 24. The 3 Amigos Organic Blanco 100 will run at Phoenix International Raceway at 4:30 p.m. local time as the first race of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West season and will also open the 2011 NASCAR season for PIR.
“3 Amigos Tequila is a quality product that’s all about good times and fun – a perfect match to help us open the 2011 NASCAR season at PIR next month,” Sperber said. “The product’s local roots make our partnership even more exciting for race fans in the Valley of the Sun.”
Known as “Your Arizona Family Tequila,” 3 Amigos Tequila was founded by Arizona resident Santiago Gonzalez and his family in 2007. The product is made from agave grown at his family's farm in Mexico. The tequila is distilled and bottled in Mexico before being brought to the United States for distribution. Fans can watch as teams prepare for Phoenix Grand Prix with testing session on Feb. 27
Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber announced today that Kristie Maggs has been promoted to Senior Director of Consumer Marketing and Partnership Activation. Phoenix International Raceway participated in the inaugural NASCAR West Coast Media day at the Peterson Automotive Museum in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday. The event, which highlights the second season of back-to-back races at Las Vegas, Phoenix and Fontana, featured NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Aric Almirola, Kurt Busch, Denny Hamlin and Brad Keselowski. NASCAR star Kasey Kahne, driver of the No. 5 Great Clips Chevy SS for Hendrick Motorsports, attended Wednesday’s Phoenix Suns home game versus the Charlotte Hornets at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Kahne was in the Phoenix area to promote the start of the 2016 NASCAR season, the Daytona 500, and the Good Sam 500 at Phoenix International Raceway, which is scheduled for Sunday, March 13.
