Buckcherry to Perform at PIR Sunday, November 9, 2014

Race fans at Phoenix International Raceway will be in for a thrill when the popular rock band Buckcherry takes the stage prior to the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 on Sunday, Nov. 9.

Buckcherry will perform live on the Budweiser ROLL-BAR Stage from 11 – 11:45 a.m. The concert, which resulted from a partnership between PIR and Niner Sports & Entertainment, is just one part of race-day excitement and is free to all Sunday grandstand ticket holders.

Buckcherry is an international platinum-selling phenomenon and radio mainstay with six albums released, their most recent titled Confessions in 2013.

"We've played with everybody from AC/DC to Slipknot,” commented Guitarist Keith Nelson. “We have a passion to deliver every time. There's something for everybody.”

With Phoenix International Raceway continuing to celebrate its 50th Anniversary, bringing in a band that could provide that party atmosphere was a top priority. When performing live, Buckcherry brings any crowd to its feet and will provide a perfect kick-off to race day.

After the concert, the on-track racing action will be like never before. The Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 is the final Eliminator race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, meaning that Phoenix will provide race excitement that the whole country will be talking about. At the conclusion of the race, the Chase field will narrow from eight drivers to only four as the Sprint Cup Series heads into the season finale the next weekend.
