PHOENIX RACEWAY ANNOUNCED AS DASH 4 CASH TRACK WITH $100,000 ON THE LINE FOR DC SOLAR 200 NASCAR XFINITY SERIES RACE
Phoenix Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber, in collaboration with NASCAR, announced today that the DC Solar 200 NASCAR XFINITY Series race on Saturday, March 18 will be one of four Dash 4 Cash races for the 2017 season. The exciting new format will qualify four XFINITY Series drivers to race for a $100,000 cash bonus.
“We’re thrilled that our DC Solar 200 on March 18 will now be included in NASCAR’s Dash 4 Cash program,” said Sperber. “This will make an already exciting race more intense with so much on the line.”
The Dash 4 Cash program will bring with it a new on-track race format consisting of three stages in the DC Solar 200.
The top two NASCAR XFINITY Series full-time drivers from both Stage #1 and Stage #2 will become Dash 4 Cash eligible in the final stage.
The highest finishing driver among the four Dash4Cash eligible drivers in the final stage will be awarded a $100,000 bonus.
It’s possible that fans will witness multiple winners at Phoenix Raceway on March 18 - the winner of the DC Solar 200, the winner of the Dash 4 Cash and the two stage winners.
The Dash 4 Cash program has been a highlight of the XFINITY Series season since 2009, including the 2016 XFINITY Series Champion Daniel Suárez winning the 2015 Dash 4 Cash.
Tickets for the upcoming NASCAR race weekend start at just $25. Individual tickets and season tickets are available online at PhoenixRaceway.com, by phone at 1-866-408-RACE (7223) or in person at the PIR ticket office.
