Menard Leads Morning Session at PIR

Montoya second, Yeley third in first of five sessions
Paul Menard led the way in the first of five test sessions at the "Cactus Trials" NASCAR Sprint Cup Series test at PIR on Monday morning, posting a lap of 27.442 seconds (131.186 mph) in the No. 15 Dale Earnhardt, Inc. Chevrolet.
Here are the top five speeds from the morning session:
15A Paul Menard Chevrolet 27.442 seconds 131.186 mph
42A Juan Pablo Montoya Dodge 27.454 seconds 131.186 mph
96A J.J. Yeley Toyota 27.468 seconds 131.062 mph
41B Reed Sorenson Dodge 27.486 seconds 130.976 mph
07A Clint Bowyer Chevrolet 27.498 seconds 130.919 mph
Kevin Harvick's two cars posted the sixth and seventh best speeds of the day, and Jeff Burton was eighth. Martin Truex Jr. and Joe Nemechek rounded out the top 10.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series may just be testing now, but they’ll be at PIR fighting for points before you know it!
