Phoenix International Raceway has partnered with InStadiumSolutions ("ISS") to implement a text-message based communication system at the facility for the April 8-10 NASCAR event weekend. The service debuted during the 2008 Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, and will once again be implemented next weekend at PIR, host to the NASCAR Nationwide Series Bashas' Supermarkets 200 and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series SUBWAY Fresh Fit 600™. The text messaging system allows fans to communicate directly with the track's command post if assistance is needed in dealing with any special needs inside the facility. The service is being provided at all International Speedway Corporation facilities. "In our continuing efforts to provide thrilling and safe guest experiences, we are extremely pleased to once again offer this innovative technology at Phoenix International Raceway this weekend. It further demonstrates our focus on providing a safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable race experience for our guests," said Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber. "The ISS text messaging system allows fans to communicate instantly with our command center and receive immediate assistance at their location. We are glad to work with ISS on this important customer service initiative for all our race fans." Texting instructions will be placed prominently throughout each facility via static signage and will be regularly broadcast through audio and video public announcements. "After our successful trial run last year, InStadiumSolutions is thrilled to return to Phoenix International Raceway and give their fans the ability to report, within seconds, unruly fans, medical emergencies, and any other track issues directly to the venue's command center. We know the Speedway is always looking to improve the guest experience and our Fan Text Messaging System will help do just that," said Scott Meyers, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for ISS. Tickets for 2010 at Phoenix International Raceway can be purchased online at PhoenixRaceway.com or by calling 1-866-408-RACE (7223). The PIR Ticket Office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 125 S. Avondale Blvd., just south of I-10 at Exit 131 in Avondale.
