November 6 NASCAR Championship Weekend
Denny Hamlin to appear at Phoenix International Raceway during the Good Sam 500 NASCAR Weekend.



Adding to race-day excitement, 2016 Daytona 500 winner Denny Hamlin will make an appearance at Phoenix International Raceway’s Budweiser ROLL-BAR Club for a moderated question and answer session before the Good Sam 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, March 13. Several Sprint Cup drivers, as well as XFINITY Series drivers, will also be participating in autograph sessions throughout race weekend.

Hamlin will join fellow NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars Kevin Harvick, Danica Patrick and Clint Bowyer at the Budweiser ROLL-BAR Club, located on the west side of the track behind the Bobby Allison Grandstands. The venue features the best in live entertainment each day throughout the entire Good Sam 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series weekend at PIR, as well as appearances by some of NASCAR’s top personalities.

On Friday, March 11, young PIR fans will be able to meet their favorite drivers at a special NASCAR Sprint Cup Series youth autograph session on Gatorade Pole Day. The first 100 youths 12 and under will receive a wristband in order to participate at the Fan Midway near Corporate Village begin at 1:45 p.m.

Race fans can also meet NASCAR’s up-and-coming stars on Saturday, March 12 at the XFINITY Series autograph session. Also located at the Fan Midway near Corporate Village, the First 150 fans lined up beginning at 8 a.m. will receive wristbands to participate.

Clinching the closest finish in Daytona 500 history, Denny Hamlin, driver of the No. 11 FedEx Racing Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing will be at ROLL-BAR on Sunday at 9 a.m. In his 11th season racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Hamlin has 27 career wins, including the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway in March 2012. In 21 starts at PIR, Hamlin has had much success on the one-mile oval with nine top-5 and 11 top-10 finishes.

Driver of the No. 4 Busch Chevrolet, Harvick captured the checkered flag at the 2015 500 in dominant fashion, leading 224 of the 312 laps. The 12-time winner in Phoenix will be at ROLL-BAR on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Harvick’s seven wins on the oval at PIR are the most in NASCAR’s elite series at the facility. In addition to winning the spring NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at PIR each of the last two years, Harvick has won three of the last four fall races in Phoenix.

Making her appearance at ROLL-BAR at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, Patrick is embarking upon her fourth full-time season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with Stewart-Haas Racing driving the No. 10 Nature’s Bakery Chevrolet. She is looking to improve upon a career-best finish of 24th in the 2015 Sprint Cup Series championship standings. In seven starts at Phoenix, Patrick finished a career-high 16th in the most recent Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 race in November 2015.

Driver of the No. 15 5-Hour Energy Chevrolet for HScott Motorsports, Clint Bowyer will make an appearance at the ROLL-BAR on Sunday at 9:50 a.m. ahead of his 22nd start at PIR. Entering his 12th season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Bowyer has a total of eight career wins including a season-high three in 2012 where he earned a runner-up finish in the Series standings. Bowyer will be looking to make the most of his first season with HScott Motorsports and improve on his two top-five and six top-10 finishes in Phoenix.

Also making appearances at the Budweiser ROLL-BAR Club will be Phoenix native Michael McDowell. Driver of the No. 95 Chevrolet SS for the Circle Sport-Leavine Family Racing, McDowell is a hometown favorite and earned a key position in this year’s Daytona 500.

Single-day tickets to the Budweiser ROLL-BAR Club are available for $99 on Saturday, March 12 and for $149 on Sunday, March 13. The additional purchase of a grandstand ticket is still required for track admission.
