PHOENIX RACEWAY TO HOST TWO DAYTONA 500 VIEWING PARTIES FOR FANS ACROSS THE VALLEY ON SUNDAY

Phoenix Raceway will kick off the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season with two DAYTONA 500 viewing parties on Sunday, February 16. The parties will be held at Rudy’s Country Store & Bar-B-Q in Goodyear (845 N Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, AZ 85338) and Octane Raceway in Scottsdale (9119 E Talking Stick Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85250), providing events in both the East and West Valley for NASCAR fans to come together and celebrate the beginning of a historic 2020 season.

“This is a very exciting time of year for NASCAR fans as the 2020 season kicks off this weekend,” said Phoenix Raceway President Julie Giese. “There’s nothing in sports quite like the buzz around the DAYTONA 500, but this year it’s even more special. Drivers and teams will begin competing week in and week out for their chance to claim the NASCAR Cup Series Championship here at Phoenix Raceway.”

During Sunday’s viewing party, Rudy’s will feature the Phoenix Raceway show car, giveaways such as raceway swag and the opportunity to wave the green flag during the NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying on Saturday, March 7. Rudy’s will also be serving $2 domestic beers throughout the event.

Octane Raceway will host the Phoenix Raceway pace car, will also feature giveaways, go-kart action and other activities such as the Phoenix Raceway Pit Crew Challenge, video games and more. Additionally, Octane Raceway will be offering happy hour during the entire viewing party, including $2 off select appetizers, $2 off all call drinks, $2.50 domestic drafts and $3.50 premium drafts.

Both viewing parties will begin at 12 p.m. and the green flag for the DAYTONA 500 is set for 12:30 p.m.
