Hats off to Heroes

Phoenix Raceway and American Medical Response (AMR)today announced the new “Hats Off to Heroes” program to recognize the everyday sacrifice of healthcare workers in our communities. As part of this initiative and during NASCAR event weekend at Phoenix Raceway, AMR will identify exemplary healthcare workers to salute the particular excellence they have achieved in their field.

“Partnering on this initiative with AMR is an important one for all of us at Phoenix Raceway,” said track president Julie Giese. “The selflessness we’ve seen from so many healthcare heroes on the frontlines in 2020 has been unbelievable and we’re honored to have the opportunity to recognize so many people with this new program.”

As part of NASCAR Championship Weekend, AMR has designated healthcare heroes for the national anthem, invocation and color guard ahead of the Lucas Oil 150 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series championship race.

“The dedicated, skilled and courageous women and men who work hard to serve their communities everyday should be recognized and celebrated at every opportunity,” said Glenn Kasprzyk, President of the Global Medical Response Southwest Region. “Hats Off to Heroes is one of those: a chance to say thank you to all the first responders and healthcare workers who have shown true resolve, both in the face of a pandemic and in what they do every day in the course of their duties. We are proud to partner with Phoenix Raceway and share in the appreciation for these heroes.”

As part of the Global Medical Response family of companies, AMR is committed to their mission of providing care to the world at a moment’s notice. Doctors, nurses, EMTs, first responders and everyone else integral to the healthcare system have put their daily lives on hold for the benefit of our communities and the Hats off to Heroes program with Phoenix Raceway is designed to give recognition and highlight the selflessness of many deserving individuals.
