The pre-race atmosphere is half the experience. Get here early, skip the rush, and arrive ready to enjoy every moment before the engines fire.

Arrive 4 to 5 hours early. For a 12:00 PM race, plan to arrive by 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. This gives you ample time to park, clear security, explore the Midway, grab food, and find your seats without any rushing.

What you bring determines how comfortable your day is. Here is what separates a good race from a great one.

Bag Check Bags must not exceed 18"x18"x14" and no more than two bags per person. Keep it simple and you will breeze through security. See the full list of permitted and prohibited items.

Protect Your Ears Racing is loud. Earplugs or noise-canceling headphones are strongly recommended, especially for kids. Get inside the on-race action with your very own scanner rental and listen to your favorite driver, crew chief, and spotter communicate in real time.

Sun Protection While we all enjoy the warm sun, it can be intense throughout the weekend. Be sure to pack sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Pre-race activities happen throughout the day.

The Race Day Kit Five things every regular fan never forgets. Wear shoes built for a full day on your feet. Pack a soft-sided cooler (max 14"x14"x14", no glass bottles). Charge your phone and download the NASCAR Tracks App for live updates and track maps. Toss in a Sharpie since drivers and celebrities are everywhere and you will not want to miss your moment. You also cannot miss the chance to sign the finish line.

Leaving the Track

After the
Checkered Flag

With tens of thousands of fans leaving simultaneously, patience is key. Law enforcement will be directing traffic away from the track in organized patterns.

Navigate the Exit

  • Wait 30 to 45 Minutes Grab a post-race snack, watch the victory celebration, and let the rush clear. Exit times can exceed 60 minutes at the checkered flag.
  • Use Waze Updated in real time with official traffic patterns and road closures. Set your destination before the race ends.
  • Follow Officer Directions They know the most efficient exit routes and will get you out faster than any GPS shortcut.

ADA Note: ADA carts must wait until pedestrian traffic clears, which may take 30 to 45 minutes before shuttles begin running.
