Actor Lochlyn Munro, star of the television drama Riverdale, will serve as Grand Marshal for the Bluegreen Vacations 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Semi-Final race at ISM Raceway on November 10 and deliver the most famous words in motorsports, “Drivers, start your engines.”
“We’re honored to have Lochlyn Munro serve as Grand Marshal for the all-important Bluegreen Vacations 500,” said ISM Raceway President Julie Giese. “Lochlyn is a very talented actor and we’re excited to hear his starting command to kick off what is sure to be an action-packed semi-final race.”
Munro, a film and television star, first broke into the performing arts following a sports injury that ended his dream of playing professional hockey. From Canada, Munro began his acting career in various projects such as 21 Jump Street (1987) and Wiseguy, and going on to create memorable characters in fan favorites such as Dead Man on Campus, A Night at the Roxbury and Scary Movie.
Today, Munro is most well-known for his role as Hal Cooper in the popular television series Riverdale. Debuted in 2017, Riverdale is currently in its fourth season on The CW.
